Talk of the Commonwealth: What to Expect at the Market on Brussels

In a recent interview on Talk of the Commonwealth, Julia Moriconi—Director of the Market on Brussels and owner of Mrs. Moriconi’s Ice Cream—joined the conversation to share what’s ahead for Worcester’s newest weekly farmers market.

Launching May 18, the Market on Brussels will run every Sunday through October 26 from 11 AM to 3 PM. The idea grew out of the success of the 2024 Market on Exchange, an event spearheaded by Stephanie Ramey, who now plays a key role in shaping the expanded season.

Listeners got a preview of what to expect: a diverse vendor lineup featuring local farms, meats, unique crafters, food trucks, and live music—all set against the backdrop of the MJ Whittall Mills on Brussels Street. With plenty of parking and a strong community vibe, the market promises to be more than just a place to shop—it’s designed to be a Sunday destination.
